    Compassionate professional nurses and caregivers

I've relied on Sun Tree for six years and been very satisfied with their compassionate, professional nurses and CNAs. RN Christy and the hospice team were outstanding - knowledgeable, communicative, and helped my mother-in-law pass peacefully at home. Caregivers are timely, responsive, and go above and beyond; I highly recommend them and will continue using their services.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Mission Home Health and Hospice of St. George earns consistently positive marks for compassionate, clinically capable frontline staff. Many families praised skilled RNs, CNAs and therapists for nursing/rehab competency, wound-care expertise, and attentive hospice support that allowed comfort at home. Long relationships with caregivers and frequent comments about thoroughness, honesty, and clear answers suggest strengths in clinical training and caregiver–family rapport. Caregiver quality and clinical strengths Across the reviews there is a clear pattern of strong clinical skills (wound care, skilled nursing treatments, and rehabilitation) coupled with empathetic bedside manner. Multiple accounts describe caregivers who go above and beyond, are supportive in difficult moments, and maintain respectful, professional interactions. Hospice services are repeatedly framed as providing dignity and comfort in the home setting, and families often cite prompt clinical responsiveness and knowledgeable staff. Communication, scheduling, and reliability Office communication and scheduling flexibility receive frequent praise — reviewers note timely follow‑ups, accommodating appointment changes, and generally good responsiveness by phone. Timely arrivals and on‑call responsiveness are cited as common positives. At the same time, there are recurring comments that point to inconsistent punctuality and occasional late or unprofessional visits; these suggest variability in shift adherence across individual caregivers rather than a uniform practice. Operational and management concerns A subset of reviews raises operational issues that prospective clients should consider. These include inconsistent caregiver conduct (for example, inattentive behaviors during visits), lapses in clinical follow‑through for wounds and infection monitoring, and gaps in personal‑care hygiene delivery. Several comments imply uneven supervision and quality-control oversight, which can produce variable experiences from one client to another. There are also notes about billing or perceived value concerns that warrant clear discussion up front. End-of-life and critical-incident notes While many families report satisfactory hospice experiences, at least one serious complaint described shortcomings around care at the time of death that affected family presence and comfort; this highlights a potential risk area in end‑of‑life coordination, odor-management, and timely communication in critical moments. That appears to be an outlier against otherwise favorable hospice feedback but is important for families to probe during intake. Recommendation for prospective clients Mission Home Health and Hospice appears to be a strong choice when clinical competency, compassionate hospice care, and responsive office communication are priorities. To reduce the chance of variability, families should ask specific questions at intake: how caregivers are matched and supervised, wound‑care and infection‑monitoring protocols, expectations for personal‑care tasks, punctuality/shift coverage guarantees, and billing/cancellation policies. Doing so will help set expectations and address the limited but meaningful operational concerns that emerged in some reviews.
