Nightingales Care At Home

2472 Patterson Rd Unit 16, Grand Junction, CO 81505

    Compassionate dependable responsive 24/7 care

I've used this agency for about 15 months for my dad and I'm very pleased. Their caregivers are compassionate, well-trained, consistent and dependable (Gloria is warm and my dad loves her); Janet Walker provided personalized attention. The office is responsive, coordinates with hospice/VA, offers 24/7 bedbound care, flexible scheduling, regular family updates, and help with chores. Overall very good, trustworthy care - I would use them again.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Nightingales Care At Home is frequently described as delivering compassionate, dependable in-home care with a range of operational strengths that matter to families — particularly around caregiver quality, scheduling flexibility, and end-of-life coordination. Many families praised individual caregivers (including long-tenured aides), steady shift coverage for bedbound clients, and an office team that is responsive and able to arrange 24/7 coverage. The agency appears capable of coordinating with hospice and VA services and providing household support alongside personal-care assistance.

Caregiver quality: The dominant pattern in the reviews is positive for frontline staff. Caregivers are repeatedly characterized as kind, respectful, and attentive; several reviews cited long caregiver–client relationships and continuity of assignments. Training and consistency were specifically mentioned as strengths in multiple accounts, and individual caregivers received favorable mentions for dependability and good family communication.

Office communication and reliability: Many reviewers described strong, responsive office support and flexible scheduling, including round-the-clock availability. Consistent shift coverage and proactive family updates were cited as contributors to long-term satisfaction. That said, a subset of reviews described breakdowns in communication or uneven responsiveness, which suggests variable performance depending on local office or specific staffing situations.

Management, compliance, and professional concerns: While many families attributed positive caregiver behavior to effective management, several reviews raised concerns about management practices and oversight. These concerns range from uneven professionalism among staff to questions about how staff issues are handled. A few reviewers raised serious administrative concerns, including alleged privacy/confidentiality violations; prospective clients should treat those as matters to clarify with the agency directly. Taken together, the feedback indicates variability in management quality across locations or cases, and the need for stronger, consistent staff supervision.

Billing and value: Perceptions of billing and pricing were mixed. Some families reported clear, straightforward cost communication and satisfactory value, while at least one review noted a lack of pricing information. This pattern suggests that billing transparency may vary by intake process or local office; families would be prudent to request written cost estimates and billing policies up front.

Notable patterns and guidance for prospective clients: The overall trend is that families who had stable caregiver matches and clear lines of communication with the office were very satisfied and would reuse the service. However, the presence of several strong complaints about professionalism, management oversight, and privacy indicates variability that could affect individual placements. Prospective clients should verify local office practices, ask about staff supervision and training, request references for assigned caregivers, confirm HIPAA/confidentiality procedures, and obtain written pricing and cancellation policies before engagement.
