    Compassionate, patient first hospice team

I'm very grateful for this compassionate, patient-first team - top-notch caregivers and hospice staff who were attentive, responsive (24/7), and made frequent, thorough visits. They honored my mom's dignity with disease-specific programs, kept our family informed, provided foundation aid and thoughtful memorial touches, and helped us through a peaceful passing. They were collaborative, educated us about hospice, truly went the distance, and I would recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall assessment: Moments Hospice appears to deliver strong clinical and personal-support strengths alongside notable operational inconsistencies. Caregivers and nursing staff are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and focused on preserving dignity during end-of-life care. Review content emphasizes frequent, thorough in-home visits, disease-specific programing, 24/7 availability, family education and coordination, and occasional thoughtful bereavement gestures—elements that align with a family-centered hospice model.

Caregiver quality: Many accounts highlight warm, respectful, and clinically competent caregivers and nurses who communicate with families, manage symptoms, and support peaceful transitions. The agency’s disease-specific programming and family-education efforts are noted positives that contribute to perceived clinical value. At the same time, there are isolated but significant concerns about individual caregiver conduct; one review describes an alleged threatening interaction involving nursing staff. Such incidents contrast with the otherwise consistent praise for caregiver compassion and suggest variability in staff performance or oversight.

Communication and reliability: A recurring operational theme is uneven office communication and follow-up. Several families described delayed or absent callbacks, inconsistent responsiveness to inquiries, and frustration with scheduling follow-through. While the agency advertises and sometimes provides rapid, around-the-clock responsiveness, that capability appears inconsistently experienced. Equipment- and logistics-related delays (for example, removal of rental items) and weak post-death administrative processes were also noted and contributed to family dissatisfaction in some cases.

Scheduling, value, and billing: On service timing, many families experienced frequent visits and perceived the team as committed and accessible, but others encountered scheduling gaps or last-minute administrative delays. Financially, there are concerns about billing transparency—unexpected charges or unclear fee explanations were mentioned. Families evaluating this agency should clarify fee structures, cancellation and equipment policies, and post-discharge billing procedures up front to understand value and avoid surprises.

Management and organizational patterns: Positive remarks about a collaborative, supportive hospice team coexist with feedback indicating staff-stability and management-priority concerns. Some commentary suggests strain on staff morale and a perception that administrative priorities may sometimes conflict with frontline-family needs. These organizational dynamics can influence consistency of service and professionalism.

Notable patterns and practical takeaways: Prospective clients and families are likely to experience compassionate, clinically capable caregiving and robust end-of-life supports. At the same time, be mindful of potential variability in office communication, post-death procedures, equipment logistics, and billing transparency. When considering this provider, ask for clear points of contact for escalation, documented post-death workflows, an equipment removal timeline, and a written fee schedule. Those steps can help retain the agency’s clinical strengths while reducing the operational risks described by some families.
