    Warm, professional, responsive, compassionate care

I've had a very good experience with this agency: warm, professional caregivers and a welcoming, responsive office team with clear, timely communication and regular text updates. They helped quickly after a TIA, provided dependable scheduling (even 24/7 options), and created a safe, compassionate environment-caregivers like Danielle, Alice and Jane were especially attentive. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Visiting Angels Eastside is presented in these summaries as an agency with a strong caregiving core and an organized office presence. Many accounts emphasize warmth, professionalism, and empathy among individual caregivers, alongside structured orientation and training programs. Families frequently cite prompt service start-up, flexible scheduling options (including 24/7 care), and routine text updates as operational strengths. Caregiver quality Caregiver quality emerges as a clear strength: reviewers consistently described caregivers as compassionate, attentive, and pleasant. Several individual aides were singled out by name for exemplary service, and accounts highlight good interpersonal rapport, patient support during schedule changes, multitasking ability, and practical domestic assistance. Training and orientation were also noted as thorough, which appears to support overall caregiver performance. Office communication and management The agency’s office and management receive mixed but generally positive comments. Many reviewers praised an organized, welcoming front desk and responsive office team that coordinates caregivers and scheduling effectively. Regular text updates and an ability to mobilize care quickly after an acute event were cited as beneficial. At the same time, there are clear indications of uneven communication: some families experienced gaps in updates and coordination that caused avoidable stress. Reliability and scheduling Scheduling flexibility and rapid start-up are recurring positives; the agency is able to provide varied coverage levels and to assist with transitions (including 24/7 coverage where needed). However, there are also accounts suggesting inconsistent shift adherence and occasional coverage lapses. These operational inconsistencies appear to be the principal reliability concern and are the most significant contrast to otherwise positive reports about caregiver conduct. Safety, policy, and value considerations A few accounts raise concerns about safety-protocol adherence and policy compliance; while these do not dominate the feedback, they are serious when they occur and warrant direct inquiry during intake and care-planning conversations. Cost or perceived expense is another theme—families described the service as valuable but sometimes costly, so prospective clients should discuss pricing and billing expectations upfront. Patterns and recommendations for prospective clients The overall pattern is of an agency with many strong caregivers and a capable office team, supported by structured training and generally good communication mechanisms. The primary operational weaknesses are variability in caregiver skill/matching, intermittent communication gaps, and occasional coverage lapses, plus some concerns about cost. Prospective clients and families would be advised to: (1) ask for caregiver-matching procedures and references for specific aides, (2) establish preferred communication and update protocols at intake, (3) confirm contingency plans for missed shifts, and (4) clarify billing and pricing details before services begin. These steps will help leverage the agency’s strengths while mitigating the operational risks noted in the summaries.
