    Compassionate professional attentive end-of-life care

I had a very positive experience with this in-home senior care agency - compassionate, professional, patient-first staff made my loved one's dignified, painless at-home end-of-life as anxiety-free as possible. Nurses Kassie and Gina (and the Beaumont/Harbor teams) were warm, responsive, explained everything clearly, comforted my husband, and went above and beyond; they gave us real peace of mind and I highly recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a consistently positive view of Harbor Hospice of Livingston, with families emphasizing compassionate, professional care delivered in the home setting—particularly at end of life. Clinical staff and nurses receive explicit praise for bedside manner, symptom management, and delivering a dignified, calm experience for patients and families. Several reviewers named individual nurses and described care as attentive, painless, and anxiety-reducing; family gratitude and statements of recommendation are common themes.

Communication and office coordination are also highlighted. Reviewers describe clear explanations from nursing staff, timely responses to questions, and an intake/referral process characterized as smooth and helpful. Office personnel are described as personable and facilitative; the agency appears to assist families with referrals and service coordination, which contributes to reduced worry and greater family confidence during the care period.

On reliability and scheduling, the available feedback points toward dependable handoffs and staff who step in when needed. The referral and intake workflow is repeatedly noted as efficient, and reviewers credit the team with making transitions easier for both staff and families. The material provided does not include detailed operational metrics (shift-fill rates, exact scheduling windows), but qualitative comments indicate a perception of dependable coverage during hospice episodes.

Value and billing are not directly addressed in the reviews. Families consistently describe the service as valuable in terms of emotional support and symptom management—phrases like "peace of mind" recur—but there is little explicit commentary on pricing, billing transparency, or cost comparisons. Prospective clients seeking clarity on fees or insurance handling should request specific billing information from the agency prior to engagement.

Management and organizational patterns show strengths in care coordination and a clear clinical focus on hospice and end-of-life support. That focused scope is a strength for families who need hospice-level services, but it also frames a limitation: the agency’s published feedback centers on end-of-life care, so its capacity for long-term non-hospice home-care services is less documented. Additionally, while a specific location (Beaumont) was singled out positively, the reviews do not provide comprehensive cross-location performance data; this suggests potential variability by site that families may wish to confirm when contacting the agency.

Overall, Harbor Hospice of Livingston appears to deliver compassionate, clinically competent hospice care with effective communication and good care coordination. For families considering hospice services, the agency’s strengths in dignified, patient-centered end-of-life care and supportive office coordination are clear. Prospective clients should ask direct questions about billing, exact service scope, and site-specific availability to ensure the agency’s offerings align with their non-hospice or logistical needs.
