    Compassionate professional responsive reliable care

I'm very pleased with Nightingales - the aides are skilled, professional and genuinely compassionate, and Amy, Amanda and Kali went above and beyond to treat my mother like family. The office is responsive and reliable with flexible scheduling, quick approvals and helpful backups, plus attentive updates and thorough med/household care, so I felt reassured and would recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers present a largely positive view of Nightingale's Nursing & Attendants of Greenville when it comes to day-to-day caregiving. Many families describe caregivers as compassionate, attentive, and personable—often describing a family-like relationship with clients. Multiple comments highlight aides who are medically competent, thorough with medication routines and household tasks, and willing to go beyond minimum duties (meals, laundry, errands). Several named caregivers are singled out as particularly effective, which signals that individual caregiver excellence is a visible strength.

Office communication and case management receive consistent praise. Families describe prompt coordination, clear updates, and a responsive office staff and case manager. The agency appears to prioritize quick approvals for PCAs and offers practical contingency measures (for example, arranging substitute coverage or “runners” when a primary aide is unavailable). Reviewers also note perceived value in the program through reasonable pricing, caregiver training, and employee benefits that may support staff retention.

Reliability and scheduling present a mixed picture. Numerous comments praise flexible scheduling, dependable coverage, and on-the-ground responsiveness; however, there are recurring operational concerns about missed hours, unmet shift commitments, and limited weekend service availability. These patterns suggest variability in day-to-day shift coverage: prospective clients should confirm weekend options, contingency plans for call-outs, and how the agency documents and resolves missed shifts.

A smaller but consequential set of reviews raises service-quality and compliance issues. These include concerns about caregiver conduct and personal-care hygiene, alleged lapses in privacy/HIPAA practices, and infection-control questions. While these accounts are not the dominant theme, they relate to core operational controls (hiring, vetting, onboarding, supervision, and privacy protocols) and merit direct inquiry by families considering services.

In sum, Nightingale's Greenville is frequently described as delivering warm, attentive, and clinically competent in-home care with strong office responsiveness and practical supports for families. At the same time, there are identifiable agency-level risks around consistency of caregiver quality, staffing reliability, vetting practices, weekend availability, and privacy/infection-control safeguards. Prospective clients may benefit from asking explicit questions about caregiver screening and training, weekend coverage and contingency staffing, HIPAA and infection-control policies, and the agency's procedures for documenting and remedying missed shifts or conduct concerns.
