I'm very satisfied with Griswold Home Care. Their caregivers are compassionate, professional and trustworthy - excellent overnight help and wonderful daytime aides who provide attentive companionship, light household help and flexible scheduling. The office and administrators are responsive and accommodating; they've been a lifesaver for my mother and I would recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews portray Griswold Home Care for NEPA as an agency with consistently strong caregiver quality. Many families emphasize compassionate, attentive, and skilled aides who form trusting, patient relationships with clients. Reviewers frequently note good matching between caregiver and client needs, strong companionship, help with light household tasks and cooking, and staff experienced with hospice and end-of-life situations. These caregiving strengths are repeatedly described as delivering peace of mind and enabling clients to remain at home comfortably.

Office communication and management receive generally positive marks: reviewers mention quick setup, responsive office staff, and directors who resolve issues in some cases. Several accounts describe clear, timely communication and administrative flexibility around scheduling. At the same time, there is variability in how families experience customer-service tone and responsiveness; while many encounters are described as professional and compassionate, others describe less satisfactory interactions when problems arise.

Reliability and scheduling show a mixed pattern. The agency offers flexible coverage, seven-day availability, and many clients report dependable scheduling and good caregiver continuity. However, multiple comments indicate challenges with overnight coverage, inconsistency in assignments due to fill-ins, and occasional missed shifts or no-shows. These patterns suggest that while daytime and planned shifts are often stable, families should confirm night coverage and contingency plans when continuity is critical.

Value and billing perceptions are mixed. Some reviewers find services affordable and worth the cost given caregiver quality, while others describe the service as costly and question billing or value. There is also at least one account of an alleged household-property incident involving an aide; while this appears to be an isolated but serious concern, it highlights the importance of asking about caregiver screening, supervision, and incident-resolution policies.

Overall, Griswold Home Care for NEPA appears to offer high-quality, compassionate in-home care with responsive administration in many cases. Notable operational weaknesses include overnight-coverage reliability, inconsistent assignment continuity, occasional missed shifts, and variability in customer-service handling and perceived value. Prospective clients and families would benefit from confirming overnight plans, discussing backup coverage and caregiver matching processes, reviewing billing and cancellation policies up front, and asking about screening and oversight procedures for caregiver conduct.
