Amazing Home Care

38 Belmont Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11212

    Compassionate professional in-home senior care

I've had a very positive experience with this in-home care agency. Their caregivers are skilled, compassionate, attentive, and meticulous about safety and hygiene. Coordinators and nurses (Xiomara, Ana Gonzalez, Nidia) are responsive, knowledgeable, and go above and beyond with personalized, proactive care and clear communication. Office staff are welcoming and helpful; placements were timely and they supported CDPAP/MLTC needs and bilingual families. I trust their professionalism and would recommend them.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews of Amazing Home Care show a pronounced divergence between direct-care strengths and administrative weaknesses. On the caregiving side, many families describe aides as compassionate, attentive, and patient; several accounts note long-term caregiver relationships and instances where caregivers went beyond basic duties to ease family stress. Nurse-led orientation and nursing support are specifically praised, as are the agency's competency in CDPAP, MLTC, and Medicaid navigation. Bilingual support, local borough coverage, and strong individual account managers or coordinators are recurring positive themes that benefit clients who need personalized coordination or specialist program knowledge.

Conversely, a consistent cluster of operational concerns appears across reviews. The most common issues involve reliability and scheduling: inconsistent shift coverage, last-minute cancellations, misrouted aides, and frequent no-shows were reported as recurring problems. Office communication and responsiveness are frequently called out as inadequate, with delayed callbacks, difficulty reaching supervisors, and inconsistent follow-through on complaints or coordination tasks. Several reviewers also described rigid policies around call-outs, documentation demands, and limited scheduling hours, which can complicate care continuity for families with variable needs.

Quality-control and management themes are mixed. While some branches and staff members—account managers and nurse educators in particular—receive strong praise for problem-solving and advocacy, other comments point to variable caregiver training, high turnover, and inconsistent management oversight. These patterns create uneven experiences across locations: certain offices are described as well organized and helpful, while others exhibit coordination gaps, language mismatches, and unresolved service failures. Additional operational issues include billing and timesheet disputes, concerns about environmental cleanliness in specific cases, and excessive or poorly managed marketing/message handling that interferes with communications.

For prospective clients and families, the overall pattern suggests an agency that can deliver high-quality, compassionate hands-on care, especially when supported by strong local coordinators and nurse involvement, but that also carries operational risk related to scheduling reliability, administrative responsiveness, and branch-to-branch variability. When evaluating Amazing Home Care, consider verifying the specific branch's staffing continuity, backup-caregiver plans, emergency and call-out protocols, billing and timesheet procedures, and language support availability. Asking for recent references for the exact office or manager who would oversee the case can help align expectations and mitigate the administrative concerns reflected in these reviews.
