    Compassionate thorough dementia care services

I'm very satisfied with this agency. Elizabeth and the caregivers were compassionate, thorough, and attentive, and Elena walked us through every step - even helping with Medicare/SS paperwork - which relieved a lot of family stress. Drivers were punctual and courteous, the clean day center is great for dementia care, staff responded quickly to texts, and the whole transition was seamless and professionally handled.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers portray a mixed but informative picture of Gary and Mary West PACE. Praise is concentrated on direct-care staff and program-level services: caregivers are frequently described as compassionate, attentive, and willing to go beyond duties to support families. Named caregivers and coordinators were called out for being particularly helpful in transitions, in-home visits, and quick, responsive communication. The program's centralized model and day-center services—particularly dementia-focused programming—are cited as strengths, as are a clean facility and staff assistance with benefits navigation such as Medicare and Social Security paperwork.

Operational and administrative issues are a consistent counterpoint. Communication gaps and lack of follow-through from the office are cited across multiple accounts, creating confusion around scheduling, authorizations, and changes to care plans. Transportation is a prominent area of inconsistency: some families describe courteous, timely drivers and smooth rides, while others report missed pickups, disrespectful conduct from drivers, and schedule failures that resulted in missed appointments. These contrasting experiences indicate variability in transportation operations and staff training.

Financial and logistical concerns recur in the feedback. Several accounts mention billing errors or unclear charges and delays in medication ordering or pharmacy coordination that can affect continuity of care. Supply-management problems and slow referral or disenrollment workflows have also been noted, which can increase caregiver and family stress and create gaps during care transitions. Together these items suggest opportunities to strengthen back-office processes and vendor coordination.

In summary, the agency is often praised for the quality and compassion of direct caregivers, effective case coordination in individual instances, and the convenience of consolidated services. However, prospective clients should be aware of operational variability—particularly in transportation, communication, billing, medication logistics, and staff-conduct consistency—and consider confirming protocols for scheduling, consent, and billing before enrollment. Families who prioritize strong personal caregiving relationships and centralized services may find the program valuable, while those who require highly reliable transport and seamless administrative follow-through should verify those specific elements during intake.
